Most membership places charge you because if you don't pay the membership fees you would have no reason to keep shopping there. I payed $500 for the "happy days" guy with his s-em-cee junk. and I gotta tell ya, I did make a like bit of money.
Now let me tell you the other half.
I will just pick one item, a glass rose. This Mr bo*sley wants me to pay, 33% of what they claim retail is. And they claim retail is $14.95...so that's $5 bucks to me right? wrong...this company wants to charge $1.50 per order plus a min $10 shipping charge, plus a dropship fee. Now i gotta pay $17 buck for this stupid rose...well to make it worth it I have to add some more crap to my order...and then I am stuck with that crap, until it sells...
now here's the good part. I found that exact same rose, selling from china, for $0.36 each and that's a one case price. Don't feel like waiting 2 months for your order from china? I found a california company selling that exact same rose for $0.57 each. min case is 60...that's $34 bucks... but here's the kicker, I can sell 3 of them and the other 57 are profit....where's my happy days now? In the garbage.
DO NOT PAY ANYONE EVER TO GET WHOLESALE PRICES! IT'S A SCAM. JUST BECAUSE YOU SIT UP LATE AT NIGHT AND WATCH THE SAME INFO-MERCIAL 742 TIMES DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK.
